China Tour 2011: Cavalleria Rusticana & Scenes Programme

I am delighted to announce that Opera Jeunesse will be touring China once again! This is the opportunity of a life time to perform in and tour one of the most beautiful and exciting countries in the world.

After the success of our previous tour in October 2010, we have been invited back in August 2011. On our last tour, we toured four cities: Shanghai, Shijiazhuang, Chengde, and Hangzhou. Locations for this year's tour will be confirmed closer to the date. The tour will include a fully-staged production, and an outdoor concert performance.

We have selected a one-act operas for this summer: Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana.

There will be no professional fee offered. However, the tour itself is fully paid for. This includes: Flight, Travel within China, Food, and Hotel. Participants' only cost will be a $100.00 administration fee to cover the cost of Travel Visa and required travel insurance. You must hold a valid passport.

The dates for the tour will cover a two week period between August 13 – September 3, 2011. Rehearsals will take place in the two weeks preceding the tour in Toronto.

Auditions are being held in Toronto at Trinity St Paul's Church on February 25, 2011 at 2-4pm & 6-8pm. There is an audition fee of $40.00, which will include an audition accompanist. Please email for additional information hubbard.madeline@gmail.com

We look forward to your questions and your audition!
